The hardest part of a Marathon is getting to the starting line!
How many people have you met who said they wanted to do a Marathon and
never have? For a number of reasons people never quite get there. One
of the main reasons is a lack of motivation.
That's where we come in! We provide structured workouts
for you to follow each week along with weekly e-mails providing tips
and advice on how to train and what to eat etc. However, the best component
of our program is our 'do it together' attitude. We train once a week
as a big group so you're not in it alone! Check out our chatboard to get in on the group fun and help each other along.
We take our training seriously but we aim to have fun otherwise
it wouldn't be worth doing! Even if you're unfit and haven't ever run, we can get you there!
Most barriers to success are self-imposed. Read some of the most used
excuses for why people don't train and our answers: Excuses
Marathon Programs we provide to Club Members:
Aside from the Marathon Specific plans below we also offer complete beginner - Walker to Runner programs and Intermediate Training.
All of these training plans are provided in our blogs at: www.irishfit.com/social
Six Months: This
is our most popular program and caters for walkers all the way up to
Boston qualifiers. We have a brief pace test to see what time you would
be aiming for in the Marathon and then the fun begins!
(We've successfully helped 60+ complete beginner runners through their first Marathon with this training program)
4 Months: This
is a slightly different program and is for people who run on a fairly
regular basis. This program is also for beginners and first time Marathoners
but we will require that you have a base level of fitness.
3 Months: This program is for the more advanced runner who has been training consistently
for at least 3 or 4 months and wants a structured program to follow
leading up to the race.
Each program is available to all club members throughout the year.
For anyone following our programs outside
Dublin we will post you your goodie bag and t-shirts.
Use our secure payment option through paypal to sign up now
or else you can come along to one of our group sessions and check it
out first.

involves no running!!
Start Times:
Official Training is on Saturday's at 10am
Where do we meet?
Just outside the Pheonix Park Tea room beside the zoo, it is in Phoenix Park just off Conyngham
Rd, at the side of Chesterfield Ave starting again Now!
Feel free to come along and see what it's all about, even if you haven't
yet joined up!
Specialised Plans: If you feel a Marathon might be too much right now we can help you get
into better health with our Personal Training Programs.
Or if you are a runner looking to complete a race in a specific time
we can give you the training and advice you need to accomplish that
goal.
We can also train you for the Half-Marathon.
Check out our Scary
Facts to get yourself Motivated!
Exotic Races:

a race somewhere else in the world such as the Great Wall of China Marathon,
